Zero Tolerance And The Pop Tart Gun

Zero tolerance has it’s positive’s, like eliminating bias and favoritism in school disciplinary matters, but it has obvious drawbacks as well. Just like it’s more impactful and uglier cousin, mandatory sentencing laws, zero tolerance leaves room for sanity in certain situations and also can be abused by selective use at a teachers or administrators whims.
