New Growth Drug In Beef Adds To The List

The major food producers including Cargill and Tyson are delighted with the new drug Zilmax. They can feed Zilmax to beef cattle and expect growth gains of 33 lbs in just a few weeks. Zilmax is a formerly failed human asthma drug that makes the metabolism of the cows go haywire. One of the other dangers this article points to is the subservience that land grant universities now have to drug companies because of research grant money. These universities were originally set up to protect farming and our fellow man.
