On this 4th of July, Thank goodness for the First Amendment

A brief look at the British media proves how important the First Amendment is for the preservation of freedom. In response to the scandals at News of the World and other Rupert Murdoch publications, the government is moving to investigate and eliminate the close relationship between politicians and the press. But the virtue of a free press is that corrupted mainstream media can always be challenged by the people, as opposed to being regulated by the government. Read more…
